How to Check Your Credit History in Portugal

Learn how to get your CRC map (Credit Responsibilities Map) from the Bank of Portugal website in just a few steps.

The CRC map (Mapa de Responsabilidades de Crédito — Credit Responsibilities Map) is issued by the Bank of Portugal Credit Responsibilities Centre and is completely free, fully online.

How to get your CRC map

  1. Go to the Bank of Portugal website.
  2. Accept the terms and click "Obter Mapa" ("Get Map").
  3. Log in with your NIF and Finance Portal password (or Chave Móvel Digital).
  4. View and download the report as a PDF.

The map aggregates all credit contracts in your name with a value above €50 — mortgages, personal loans and car loans, credit card limits and other credit lines — showing outstanding amounts, terms, and whether payments are being made on time.
